Meet the Dentist:

Dr. Mike Purcell

Dr. Mike has over 20 years of pediatric specialty experience with a primary focus on the needs of kids to put them at ease during their visit. He has a passion to ensure that oral health is available to anyone in need.

He earned his dental degree from Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska in 1993 and was awarded the Quintessence Award for academic achievement and the Operative Award for excellence in practice teaching. After graduation, he practiced general dentistry for three years until he was accepted to a hospital-based pediatric dental program at the University Of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska in 1996. Dr. Mike’s academic studies have included oral management of bone marrow transplant patients, pediatric medicine, oral surgery, anesthesiology and he was a member of the cleft lip and palate team at Boys Town.

He has traveled with International Surgical Missions to both Ecuador and the Philippines to provide dental treatment in impoverished villages. He has also volunteered services for Colorado Mission of Mercy and Delta Dental’s “Give Kids a Smile Day.” for many years. Dr. Mike received two additional years of special training working with children, teenagers, and special needs patients.
